Members are eligible for this insurance after they complete one year of railroad service. A members must also work seven days in a calendar month to be eligible for this insurance the following month. Dental benefits covered under this plan are orthodontic treatment, prosthodontics (dentures), jaw Joint disorder, x-rays, extractions, oral surgery, composite filling restoration to restore diseased or accidentally broken teeth, general anesthetics, treatment of periodontal and other gum diseases, root canal therapy, crowns, inlays, onlays, bridgework, and preventive cleaning services. New Aetna/US Healthcare Preferred Dental Network Aetna/US Healthcare announced that those covered under the National Dental Plan now have access to a Preferred Dental Network which is described on pages 6 and 7 of the new booklet. The Aetna /US Healthcare Preferred Dental network will enable all eligible participants to receive discounts when using a participating dentist. The advantages to using a participating dentist are:
