December 2019 Elections

Members have elected six officers from the Portsmouth area to lead the lodge for the next three years.

Korey Jones was elected as the lodge's 18th President. Korey is a veteran who served in Iraq during operation Iraqi Freedom. He was honorably discharged in March of 2007. Korey began his railroad career at Norfolk Southern's Portsmouth rail yard as a Carman in July of 2007. He is happily married with four children and is an active member in the community volunteering at his church, coaching local youth sports, and supporting the local arts.

James Ramey, elected Vice President will assist Korey Jones in the daily operation of the lodge's four-state jurisdiction.

Jameson McKnight has been a BRC/TCU member since February 2007. He worked as a Carman for Progress Rail Raceland Car Shops from February 5, 2007 to December 17, 2009. He began his career with Norfolk Southern in December 2010, when he transferred from his old lodge to local lodge 6760. In October 2013, Jameson was appointed to the office of Recording Secretary, an office he has held for the last 6 years. He was also appointed Vice Local Chairman at Portsmouth, Ohio in January 2014 by Local Chairman Ben Whitt. He held that office until September 2019. Following the resignation of former FST, Kevin Hite. Jameson was appointed Financial Secretary-Treasurer of the lodge in October 2018. In December 2019, Jameson was elected to two offices, Financial Secretary-Treasurer and Recording Secretary by acclamation. Jameson and his lovely wife Amber are parents of four children: Lexi, Keira, Killian, and Lila. Jameson coaches youth softball, youth basketball, and youth tee-ball and for the past six years serves on the democratic committee of Lawrence County, Ohio.

Matt Sosby was elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He studied welding at a local vocational school and graduated in 2000. Matt worked various maintenance jobs before starting his career at Norfolk Southern in 2010. Matt is active in his community helping with the local Cub Scout program and volunteering with his local high school football team as a cameraman. Matt is happily married with three children. 

Josh Pistole has been elected as a Board of Trustees Member of the lodge. Josh began his career with Norfolk Southern at Portsmouth, Ohio in August 2008. He married his wife Allison in 2011. They have two children Marlee and Cohen. Away from work Josh enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors and serving his community as a volunteer firefighter.

Timothy Martin was elected as a Board of Trustees Member. Timothy began his career with Norfolk Southern in 2011. He is a Carman at Portsmouth, Ohio. He is married to his wife Kelly. They have two daughters and one grandson. Timothy teaches a small church group on Wednesday evenings. He is a bigtime UK wildcats fan. Timothy is looking forward to doing the best job posstible as a Board of Trustees Member.

Timothy and the two other Board of Trustees members will oversee the financial matters of the lodge through 2022.
