TCU's Designated Counsel Online

This is a current list of law firms designated by our Union to help TCU members. In addition to the criteria established by TCU, these firms have agreed to assist members online. All TCU designated counsel online firms named here have agreed to the following:

• Any contingency fee charged in cases involving a TCU member involved in an on-the-job injury under the Federal Employers' Liability Act (FELA) will not exceed 25 percent of the recovery, exclusive of costs.

• Under no circumstances will a referral fee be paid any TCU member recommending a certain firm to an injured employee. All TCU designated firms will conduct themselves according to American Bar Association ethical standards.

• The firm must not under any circumstances become involved in union politics, though it may sponsor certain union events when asked to do so. Virtually all firms do, in fact, contribute to support union social functions.

• The firm should be prepared to give advice about the rights and liabilities of union members involved in one-the-job injuries either by telephone or in a personal interview at no cost to the union member.

• Each firm on this list is experienced in handling personal injuries and/or FELA claims. This list is intended to assist you in selecting counsel, although you are not required to select counsel from this list.

• Each TCU Designated Counsel Online firm is available to utilize the Internet to make an initial response to member's FELA questions or concerns.

• TCU Designated Counsel Online firms are published in this directory on a first-come first-printed basis. Our directory will list all of the information for designated counsel that is included in the most recent published issue of the IAM Magazine. We will also include a link to your Web site, if you have one and a direct e-mail link to your representative.

TCU members sending e-mail inquires to any firm are required to include their name, e-mail address, telephone and lodge numbers. If this information is omitted the firm is not required to reply.
